REATSWELELA TRAVEL CENTRE – Makes Major Inroads In Limpopo

Reatswelela Travel & Tours was founded in 2007 to meet the specific travel needs of organisations based in the Limpopo Province and surrounding areas. Since then, the travel management company has built up an impressive client base of government departments and municipalities in the Limpopo Province.

One hundred percent black-owned and renowned for its efficiency, professionalism and reliability, the travel centre offers a wide range of services including flight bookings, accommodation, conferencing facilities, shuttle services, assistance with travel insurance, as well as passport and visa applications.

Reatswelela, which has now re-branded as South African Reatswelela Travel Centre, has also spearheaded a successful home-stay programme (organising accommodation in private homes within the local communities), which was highly sought after during the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2011 ANC Conference.

Founder and Managing Director, Nkele Motsoaledi, says the business has grown significantly since its inception in 2007. “We currently employ 12 people and recently opened a new branch in North West Province,” she says.
Motsoaledi believes strongly in the development and empowerment of South Africa’s youth. In this respect, Reatswelela Travel Centre has provided in-service training for 11 students, of whom one is permanently employed at
the centre. A further 17 students from the MSC College received training in March this year.

“These initiatives are all about giving young people the relevant skills to succeed in the industry and we hope to employ a further two students out of the 17 college candidates,” she says.

In January 2011 Reatswelela joined the South African Travel Centre (SATC) consortium. The SATC consortium is composed of independently-owned travel management companies made up of seasoned travel agents, who are focused on offering the best value to their clients.

SATC continually looks for ways to help them optimise their travel arrangements and stretch their travel rands. Motsoaledi says she is impressed with the service offerings, professionalism and effective customer service offered by SATC. “We are looking forward to working closely with SATC and growing into one of the leading travel agencies in Limpopo,” she says.

SATC Marketing Manager, Tshepiso Malele, says SATC is proud to have Reatswelela Travel Centre on board and is looking forward to a productive partnership in years to come.

“Reatswelela has built up an ever increasing and loyal client base since inception, and we are pleased that the South African Travel Centre brand will be represented by such a capable and determined partner in Limpopo.”
